Tina Høydahl

Soulful, moody folk-pop with electronic textures from Northern Norway

A bit about the music

Tina Høydahl creates soulful, moody folk-pop with electronic textures, rooted in Northern Norway, flavored with imported spice: herbs from Bordeaux, wine from Loire. The result is a sound that's both homegrown and well-travelled — Norwegian songwriting tradition (vise) meets electronic textures and a touch of French sensibility.

Her musical background includes a semester of songwriting and live performance study at NLA University College at Staffeldtsgate in Oslo. She's performed on stages in Oslo and across Eastern Norway, in Lofoten, in Stavanger, and in Bordeaux, France.

The songs are pulled from introspection, French chanson, a curiosity about human nature, and the pull of the unknown.

Two tracks, kept off streaming for now — sync only.

Instrumentals and stems available on request.

If you had to describe it in a few words: electro-folk, Nordic pop, a little chanson-influenced, mostly moody, sometimes playful, always soulful.
